Amigurumi Chinese Lantern

Every year I am immersed in Chinese culture at my University, which has a very close relationship with China. Around Chinese Newyear the campus atrium is decorated with dozens of lanterns which is so beautiful! This was my inspiration to create my own crocheted lanterns. Have fun making them!

Using yellow color, sc a circle on the second last circle from the previous piece (see picture). Sc around for about 9 stitches, 2 rows for the little lantern, 3 rows for the medium lantern. Fasten off.

Using a needle and yellow thread, sew from top to bottom making 6 equal pieces. Try to use the same tention to have a symetric lantern! Fasten off.

Finally pull through the tassel from bottom to top through the middle holes of the lantern.
